This strong ale was aged in a French red wine barrel for over a year and was one of the last remaining beers from the previous head brewer, Chase Medlin. Look for this beer in a few months later that was aged in a Willet Bourbon barrel.

Fresh hops are taken straight off the vine and shipped for immediate use; the hops go into the beer with the following 24 hrs. This fresh hop beer is made with all Nugget hops, a hop know for its spicy and herbal character. The beer is one of 7 collaborations Tim Schiavone of Banyan Roots Brewing Co. has done throughout Georgia this fall. We were sad to loose Tim as our Asst. Brewer here at Twain’s but were are so happy and excited to support his new venture at Banyan Roots Brewing Co.

Our crushable UK-style beer is similar to an American Pale Ale in character but made with British ingredients. This is an excellent beer for the unbearable heat of summers in metro Atlanta. This Scottish Ale was brewed with David Byer as the Brewer’s Choice Award from the 2017 Peach State Brew Off homebrew competition. The beer is a slightly stronger version of an everyday Scottish Ale (not the same as Scotch Ale). Despite its complex malt profile this beer is very easy to drink..

The Brown Porter was originally an English invention of blended beer at differing ratios of stout and pale ale depending on the bar. Once brewers began making the beer as an outright style, it used a heavy amount of brown malt to mimic that flavor profile. We add dose of oatmeal to lend some creaminess to the beer. This beer also happens to be low in gluten but you’d never know it!

Our house pilsner is back in full force for the dog days of summer. Ultra crisp and refreshing, our pilsner is certainly on the high side for hop dosing. This creates a fresh floral and firm bitterness to cleanse you palate and keep you reaching for more. Soft grainy and doughy malt supports the hops and makes an all-around pleasant drinkable beer. Prost!
American Copper Ale, 6.0%
Notes: Resin & dank on the nose, fruity hop finish – dragonfruit, papaya; touch of toasted malt
Our copper ale is a cross between a Pale Ale, Amber Ale and IPA. It almost comes across as a younger cousin of the Overt Hops Double IPA in its character. Two hops were used in this beer: Ahtanum & Equinox/Ekuanot. It is named after the great film director, Stanley Kubrick with a slight nod to our brewer’s background in Chemistry (“cupric” is the Latin term for the highest oxidation state of copper).
Belgian Wit, 5.5% abv

Our first batch of Witbier is dedicated to the endless patience of our brewer’s wife. Her favorite beer genre is wheat beer and Wit is a great warm weather option. Named after the infamous question in Philadelphia – when you order a cheesesteak you’ll be asked “Wit or Witout?”.

A true beer drinker’s beer and a favorite style of brewers and English beer fans, this flavorful mild taps in at a sessionable abv. This is a GREAT fall weather beer, goes well with football, hockey, day-drinking and almost all of our food on the menu (definitely try it with the meatloaf).
This collaborative brew with Schmaltz Brewing features a soft malt character with biscuit, baking bread and toast. Ample Esters of bubble gum, pear and guava with a firm spiciness from the phenois.
Blurring the lines between rich maltiness and easy drinking, this Vienna Lager delivers a tasty malt character of baking bread and toasted bread while remaining dry and highly drinkable. This toasty, malty and creamy lager is just the thing for the cold winter months. 5.4% ABV
A velvety smooth mouthfeel pairs with a moderate fruity ester profile; caramel, raisin, biscuit, chocolate and coffee notes follow. This stout is a farewell tribute to Chef Savannah, wishing her all the best and great food too! 7.2% ABV
Using our Chestnut Brown Ale as a base, this beer is infused with Buffalo Trace Bourbon. The bourbon accents of oak, vanilla, and caramel go great with the chocolate and nuttiness of the brown ale. Our Mistress of Mischief Belgian Rouge gets a helping of passionfruit in the serving tank. A special for Valentine’s day, but good for stirring up some mischief anytime.
This artisanal Belgian amber ale has a candy-like sweetness and hints of caramel up front from the house-caramelized candi sugar while still managing to finish very dry. The yeast has provided a complex array of esters and phenols for the aroma – pear, banana, apple, apricot, clove and pepper. 7.8%ABV

This kellerbier is an unfiltered, unlagered American take on a Pilsner. The nose is slightly citrusy and lemony from the American hops; spicy and a touch floral due to the Continental hops. The malt is grainy and a bit doughy from a mix of pilsner malt, red wheat and oat malt. The body is light and crisp with a dry, refreshing bite on the finish. Highly drinkable. Collaboration with Todd DiMatteo from Good Word Brewing. 5.4% ABV
This unfiltered IPA is brewed with judicious amounts of wheat and is unfiltered to preserve the wonderful aroma. Hop Haise pours a golden yellow with a rich and creamy white head. The grainy malt props up the juicy hop character. Tropical fruits abound mango, passion fruit, pineapple, lemon, and tangerine. 45 IBU 6.1% ABV
Barleywine Paradiso, 8.8%
Unexpectedly, this barleywine is quite approachable. The complexity of the beer brings forth flavors of ripe pomme fruit, fig and date with rich caramel to complement. Despite this, the finish is moderately dry preventing it from becoming cloyingly sweet.
This beauty is made with lots of Chilean roasted and caramel malts which delivers malt flavors reminiscent of mocha, caramel macchiato, bitter chocolate, dried berries and a hint of espresso. Yum! Who says dark beer is only for wintertime?
Sam’s Smoked Porter, 6.4%
Think about Barbeque: rich, dense smoke with a bit of ashy, charred bark and a sweet full finish. Give this beer about a half pint before you decide whether you like it or not. Trust me, as you keep drinking it, you’ll grow more and more fond of it!
Clara’s Chestnut Brown Ale, 6.0%
Worry not – the nut brown ale offered here contains no nuts. Mahogany in color, the flavor of walnuts and chestnuts comes purely from the malt. This is paired with hints of toasted bread, caramel and chocolate.
We went to town on this annual year end IPA, Dank, piney, herbal, resinous, bitter… this IPA drives home the characteristics that originally defined the American IPA. We’re bringing the OG back!
